Today is the last day people can take a trip freely in between the NSW and Victorian border until the tough limitations enter force tonight.
Bottom line:
- Officials have cautioned the very first 72 hours of border closures will be disruptive for regional individuals
- It is hoped that exemptions will be revealed today
- There is no indication of when the NSW-Victorian border will reopen
From 12.01 am on Wednesday, the gate will come down on the border– with the State Government yet to verify what the exemptions will be.
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian, in revealing the closure the other day, advised individuals to be client while standards and a system were exercised.
She said Service NSW– the Government’s online service function– was given notice on Sunday to get an authorization system into action.
It is hoped it will be up and running today.
