What took place to Mr Choudry?
In a press conference, Mr Choudry’s family said he struggled with schizophrenia, was paranoid and afraid of cops. His nephew Khizar Shahzad states Mr Choudry’s daughter had actually required a non-emergency ambulance on Saturday because her father was having an “episode”. Once paramedics got to his house in Malton, beyond Toronto, Mr Shahzad stated they saw he had a knife and called the cops.
Family recalled pleading with authorities to be permitted to go with them into the structure to make Mr Choudry more comfortable, explaining that he was most likely to be paranoid.
” I said, ‘Hey, he’s terrified of your uniform, he’s not frightened of you,'” Mr Shahzad recalled.
In a press release, the SIU said Peel Regional Police reached 5pm regional time, which they communicated with Mr
