When the doors of the ancient Kartikeya Mahadev temple located in Khaggu Sarai area opened after 46 years, a Bhandara was also organized at the temple on Saturday after 46 years. The devotees who reached the temple not only had darshan in the temple but also took the Prasad of Bhandara. The people who organized the Bhandara said that to celebrate the opening of the doors of the temple, the first Bhandara has been organized today after 46 years.

The lock was opened on 14th December

On December 14, in Sambhal, DM-SP had opened the lock of the ancient Kartikeya Mahadev temple in the middle of Muslim population in Mohalla Khaggu Sarai. Since then, a large number of devotees have started arriving from Sambhal and surrounding areas.

Bhandara was organized

This temple was closed after the riots of 1978. Its doors have opened after about 46 years. Devotees enthusiastically organized Bhandara on Saturday after 46 years. During this, Prasad of vegetables, puri and halwa was prepared. After which the first offering was made to the Lord in the temple.

Investigation conducted in Kalki temple

At the same time, the team of Archaeological Department of India (ASI) had reached Kalki Temple on Saturday. Survey was conducted in Kalki temple. Earlier, the ASI team had surveyed five different locations in Sambhal, which included 19 wells and 5 pilgrimages.

After the 46-year-old temple was opened on December 14 in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, the District Magistrate had written a letter to the Archaeological Survey of India, after which a 4-member ASI team reached Sambhal for inspection. Before the arrival of the ASI team, barricading was done around the well near the temple. The ASI team reached the temple during the puja.
