WASHINGTON, Feb. 14, 2024 — Agriculture Deputy Secretary Xochitl Torres Small revealed today that the Biden-Harris Administration is investing $20 million to support federally acknowledged Tribes and Alaska Native corporations and towns as part of President Biden’s Investing in America program. The financing, enabled by President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act and dispersed through competitive grants administered by the USDA Forest Service, will assist receivers gain access to emerging personal markets for forest strength, environment mitigation, water quality, carbon sequestration and more.
