At his nightly White Home interview on Wednesday, April 22, President Donald Trump was hoping that the 3 health officials he had with him– Dr. Robert Redfield of the Centers for Illness Control and Avoidance (CDC), Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. Deborah Birx– would join him in minimizing the possibility that a 2nd coronavirus wave could occur in the fall. Things did not go as Trump had hoped, and none of the health officials entertained that possibility.

The Spanish flu pandemic of 1918 consisted of a first wave that was fatal and a second wave throughout the fall that was much even worse, and Redfield recently alerted that history might duplicate itself with the coronavirus pandemic– that a second wave in the fall might likely be even worse than all the death and suffering that is occurring now. Trump, during the Wednesday press conference, claimed that coronavirus may “go away” and not return with a vengeance in the fall–
