Lake Havasu City’s mask mandate has been extended to Sept. 1. The guidelines needing face coverings in public locations were set to end on July 21.
Mayor Cal Sheehy said the mask requirement is essential to slow the spread of coronavirus in the middle of rising case numbers in Havasu and Mohave County.
” This requirement will help build public self-confidence in the continued and safe reopening of the Arizona Economy,” Sheehy stated in an emailed declaration. “ We continue to collaborate with state and regional health officials in an effort to keep the general public safe.”
