New York City Mayor Costs de Blasio opened his press instruction on Tuesday by berating President Donald Trump, comparing him to former President Herbert Hoover and saying that Trump “appears to take pleasure in stabbing his home town in the back.”
De Blasio was referencing an interview Trump made with the New York City Post, in which the president revealed his distaste for using federal funds to bail out states governed by Democrats, consisting of New York.
” The President of the United States– a former New Yorker who seems to delight in stabbing his home town in the back– talking about no bailout for New york city,” de Blasio said, while brandishing a copy of the Post with the interview on the cover. “What type of human being sees the suffering here and chooses that individuals in New York City do not deserve help?”

In the Post interview, Trump stated he thinks “Congress is inclined to do a lot of things however I do not think they’re inclined to do bailouts.”
He added, “It’s unfair to the Republicans due to the fact that all the states that require assistance– they’re run by Democrats in every case. Florida is doing sensational, Texas is doing
