Diego Pavia, the quarterback for Vanderbilt, made a funny deal before his big game. On Saturday, September 13, 2025, in Columbia, South Carolina, he told comedian Theo Von that if Vanderbilt beat South Carolina, Von could take his mom, Antoinette Padilla, out for a date.
Vanderbilt shocked everyone with a 31-7 win. Right after the game, Von, who is also a popular podcaster, posted Padilla’s photo on X with a heart drawn around her face.
He even asked his fans, “where should I take her??” This unusual promise quickly went viral.

He added, “My goal is, I would like to marry a nurse one day, so that’s why I think he was thinking about that.” Antoinette Padilla is a nurse, and she was in the stands wearing a big Vanderbilt jersey and a matching lanyard.
