US President Donald Trump has used a mask in public for the first time considering that the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
The president was checking out the Walter Reed military hospital outside Washington, where he met injured soldiers and healthcare employees.
” I have actually never protested masks but I do believe they have a time and a location,” he said as he left the White House.
He has formerly said that he would not use a mask and buffooned Democratic rival Joe Biden for doing so.
However on Saturday he said: “I think when you remain in a medical facility, specifically because particular setting, where you’re speaking to a great deal of soldiers and people that, in many cases, just left the operating tables, I think it’s a terrific thing to use a mask.”
Speaking With Fox Organisation Network last week, Mr Trump said: “I recommend masks.”
He added that he “sort of liked” how he looked with one on, comparing himself to the Lone Ranger, an imaginary mask
