Jayakumar on Thursday, July 11, 2024, stated that the arrest of Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) functionary Sattai Duraimurugan was an effort to muzzle flexibility of expression in Tamil Nadu. In a social networks post, Mr. Jayakumar charged that the DMK federal government was taking “vengeance” versus the NTK functionary, as he continued to “expose” different insufficiencies of the State federal government. The previous Minister even more declared that Chief Minister M.K. Stalin was leading a “fascist” federal government. Previously in the day, while connecting with the press reporters, Mr. Jayakumar turned down criticism versus the AIADMK management. He kept that the celebration employees accepted the “reliable” management of the AIADMK basic secretary. When questioned about claims that BJP leader Piyush Goyal was firmly insisting that all areas of the AIADMK come together, he asked: “Who is Piyush Goyal to intervene in our celebration affairs? What is his association with our celebration? The alliance [with the BJP] is over. Even when we remained in alliance, we did not enable poking of noses into our affairs.” The AIADMK leader even more charged that there were “prepared efforts” to deteriorate his celebration. To another inquiry, he criticised the DMK federal government over the order scenario in the State, describing the current murder of Bahujan Samaj Party leader K. Armstrong. On the 2nd day of the Lok Sabha constituency-wise evaluation conference in the AIADMK head workplace on Thursday, AIADMK basic secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami evaluated the celebration’s functions in Sivaganga, Tiruvannamalai and Vellore districts. BJP informs T.N. authorities to introspect on their actions Criticising the arrest of NTK functionary Sattai Duraimurugan, BJP State system president K. Annamalai on Thursday stated the cops must introspect on their actions. Throughout an interaction with reporters after he commemorated the statue of flexibility fighter Veeran Azhagumuthu Kone, Mr. Annamalai, stated that while anti-social aspects and rowdies were associated with different criminal activities, the cops was “consistently targeting” those like Mr. Duraimurugan. He criticised what he called the “method operandi” of a DMK functionary filing a grievance and the authorities acting rapidly to make arrests. “This is ending up being regular and the cops should introspect on their actions,” he stated.
