The following is a news release from the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame: PICKERINGTON, Ohio– AMA Motorcycle Hall of Famer Ed Lojak, among the most dominant off-road racers of his generation, died on Monday, July 8, at 63 years of ages. The American Motorcyclist Association uses its acknowledgements to the household, pals and coworkers of Lojak. Born upon Dec. 18, 1960, Lojak initially began riding when he was 8 years of ages and advanced into racing at 10. From there, Lojak progressed into among the best off-road racers ever seen– recording 5 AMA Hare Scrambles National Championships and 9 Grand National Cross Country Series Championships. Contending expertly from 1976-1988 for Team Husqvarna, Lojak became the all-time leader in GNCC champions aboard a bike with 9 overall. Throughout this dominant stretch, Lojak was called the 1982 AMA Amateur Athlete of the Year. Lojak was staple in global competitors. Completing in 5 International Six Days Enduros, Lojak contributed in providing the United States numerous gold and silver medals throughout the occasion. After his racing profession, Lojak stayed a crucial piece of his household organization, Lojaks Cycle Sales, situated in his home town of Tarentum, Pa. For his remarkable racing profession and total influence on the world of off-road racing, Lojak was inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 2017. He will be considerably missed out on.
