The Segway, created by US engineer Dean Kamen, debuted with much fanfare, however struggled to make a revenue.
Accidents didn’t assist with the Segway’s appeal, and the business was purchased by Chinese rival Ninebot in 2015.
Made at a factory in New Hampshire, in the United States, production of the Segway Personal Transporter will end on 15 July.
