Last night Israel Adesanya’s bane Alex Pereira re-announced himself to the world of MMA– with a bang! Look out Mixed Martial Arts world, Alex Pereira has actually gotten here.
Last night the Brazilian kickboxing star made his Stateside MMA debut, at LFA 95, where he took on Thomas Powell. The battle didn’t make it out of the first round. You can see what happened listed below:.

Pereira’s left hook captured Powell clean up on the jaw, sending out the American flat on his face. Powell remained motionless on the ground for a good 5 minutes. Powell would concern, though, reportedly asking where he was and what had actually just happened.
Pereira is a 33- year-old Splendor kickboxing veteran. His awards with that promo include the middleweight title and interim light heavyweight title.
His record in kickboxing is an excellent 40 -6 with 29 knockouts. On Pereira’s record are 2 triumphes over existing UFC middleweight champ Israel Adesanya.
The very first time he satisfied The Last Stylebender was at Splendor of Heroes in China in2016 That bout ended with a decision triumph for the Brazilian. The 2nd time they met Pereira knocked Adesanya clear out, at Glory of Heroes 7 in Sao Paulo. He knocked Adesanya out with the very same left hook that did so much damage last night.

His win at LFA was not Pereira’s first venture into Mixed Martial Arts. His MMA debut was back in 2015, which he lost via submission. In 2016 he won 2 Mixed Martial Arts battles (both by TKO/KO) prior to fully committing himself to kickboxing for the next four years.
With his history with Adesanya, if Pereira keeps winning in excellent fashion, anticipate to see him fast tracked to the UFC soon.
