What’s on the program?
Ahead of the date the grand last would have been hung on, SBS has been showing a series of programmes that will culminate in Eurovision 2020: Big Night In! tomorrow and Eurovision: Europe Shine A Light on Sunday.
If reminiscing’s your thing, you can first tune in to SBS from 1: 30 pm to 5: 30 pm today to capture last year’s grand last, in which Australia’s Kate Miller-Heidke positioned ninth.
Then tomorrow, AKA May 16, comes SBS’s Eurovision special, Eurovision: Big Night In! from 7: 30 pm.
SBS Eurovision hosts Myf Warhurst and Joel Creasey will helm the program, which has actually been billed as a celebration of all the 2020 Eurovision artists and songs.
And at the end of it, SBS will expose which country Australian voters would have chosen to win after a countdown that will be filled with the #drama and #suspense you’ve been liking.
Spoiler alert it will not be Australia: we’re disqualified to elect ourselves, based on the official Eurovision Song Contest rules. Some things stay spiritual even in pandemic times.
