The “tragic” information behind the death of a newborn baby 25 years ago in a toilet at a remote WA caravan park have actually been laid bare in a Perth court with the sentencing of the child’s mother, a victim of sexual assault, for killing him.

The woman, who is now 39, had actually only just turned 14 in July 1995 when she delivered alone to the boy in a toilet cubicle at a caravan park in the Goldfields town of Kambalda, 600 kilometres east of Perth.
