An Ottawa Fire Services private investigator was attempting to identify the reason for a blaze that severely harmed a two-storey house under building in the Kars location on Friday.

A media release from the fire service stated numerous 911 callers reported smoke and flames originating from the house on the 1400 block of Commodore Lane, near Rideau Street North, right before 3 p.m.
Upon arrival, fire teams validated nobody was inside the house, which was swallowed up in flames. 2 big lp tanks on the side of the house and several smaller sized tanks at the back developed a threat for firemens, and several vehicles surrounding the residential or commercial property were likewise on fire.
Firemens devoted a hose pipe line to the big gas tanks on the side of the house to keep them cool, the release included, and an aerial ladder established at the front of the residential or commercial property to stream water onto the flames from above. A shuttle bus system was established to bring water from a source close by since there are no hydrants in the location.
The fire was stated under control prior to 4 p.m., though teams stayed on the scene to snuff out locations and display for possible flare-ups.
