FILE: A male was shot and eliminated in Gilroy after challenging an automobile burglar Tuesday. kali9/Getty Images A guy was shot and eliminated in Gilroy early Tuesday early morning while challenging a suspect who was taking his vehicle, authorities revealed. Gilroy law enforcement officer discovered a 33-year-old male with a gunshot injury to the chest on the 1300 block of Pheasant Drive at about 12:24 a.m., the Gilroy Police Department composed in a Facebook post. The officers were reacting to a report of a hit-and-run occurrence with injuries. The male was required to a close-by medical facility where he caught his injuries and was noticable dead, authorities stated. According to the Gilroy Police Department, a preliminary examination discovered that the male was shot throughout a conflict with a suspect who was taking his vehicle. After shooting the guy, the suspect run away in the taken lorry, authorities stated. The automobile was later on discovered by the California Highway Patrol after a car pursuit. The suspect was nabbed and collared south of Salinas after the pursuit, authorities stated. The identity of the guy eliminated is being kept pending alert of his household. The Gilroy Police Department is treating this as an active examination and will launch more information as they appear.
