One of the most significant surprises of being a parent has been handling the overwhelming amounts of stuff Take going to the beach. Prior to kids, a quick beach journey was as complicated as placing on a set of shorts over a swimwear, tossing a tallboy in a backpack, and biking to the water.
Now, I do a 30- minute scamper around your home while getting and packing items in a bag like a hamster stockpiling for winter season. Water bottle? Check. Toddler swimsuit and towels? Examine. Diapers? Sand toys? Check. And that’s prior to I get to all the pandemic-related equipment, like child-sized masks and hand sanitizer.
Thankfully, for the previous week, I’ve been riding the Urban Arrow Family. For sheer benefit, nothing beats a Dutch-style front-loading freight electric bike. Instead of carefully tucking all our equipment into various packs and panniers, I can just toss everything into the huge freight box, and that includes my kids.
