The British Medical Association stated regular tracking of long-lasting health conditions might have to stop to allow GPs to “focus on the sickest patients”.
She later tweeted that it had been “ pretty rubbish but I hope I’m over the worst of it now“.
Health Secretary Matt Hancock tweeted that she had actually “done the best thing” by self-isolating at house and wished “her well as she recovers”.
Dr Jenny Harries said she expected considerable boosts in the number of cases in the UK beginning in about 10 to 14 days time, at which point individuals with flu-like signs would be encouraged to self-isolate.
Mr Hancock said that “any place clinically and virtually possible” individuals must access GP visits “through phones and digital ways”, rather than going to surgical treatments in individual.
