Silicon Valley loves its disturbance. If any market was prepared to manage the monumental changes caused by the coronavirus, it’s huge tech. Companies like Twitter and Facebook were some of the very first to require their staff members to work from house, even prior to main shelter-in-place orders entered into effect. Now, they and others have actually extended their remote work policies to allow their workers to telecommute from house permanently, even after the pandemic ends.
This week on Gizmo Lab, WIRED senior writer Arielle Pardes joins us to speak about the workplace goings-on in Silicon Valley. In the second half of the show, we talk about Clubhouse, the hot new social network keeping tech bigwigs linked.
