WILKES COUNTY, N.C.– A significant coronavirus fight is ramping up in Wilkes County.

The Wilkes County Health Department evaluated 200 employees who work at the Tyson Foods Processing Plant, a location that utilizes more than a thousand people in Wilkesboro.

The health department said the plant is connected to the majority of the county’s coronavirus cases, which now stands at 127.

Tyson Foods, in addition to the health department, hopes these screenings can decrease the variety of people getting contaminated.
