Expressing deep issue over the degrading air quality in the Delhi-National Capital area, the Supreme Court on Tuesday directed the states of Punjab, Rajasthan and Haryana to stop stubble burning “forthwith”. A department bench headed by Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul even more stated that in case of infraction of the court order, the worried SHO under the general guidance of the matching chief secretary and DGP of the state will be called to account.
