( Reuters) – Johnson & Johnson on Tuesday revealed that it would stop selling its talc-based Johnson’s Talcum powder in the United States and Canada, saying it was part of a broad reassessment of its customer item portfolio prompted by the coronavirus pandemic.
The U.S. healthcare conglomerate said it would unwind sales of the product, that makes up about 0.5%of its U.S. customer health company, in the coming months, but that sellers will continue to offer existing stock.
