TOPEKA, Kan. – Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly has stated a state of emergency after the very first confirmed COVID-19 death was reported in Kansas.
Kelly revealed a Wyandotte County guy in his 70 s passed away from the virus. She said he did have underlying health problems.
KDHE Secretary Dr. Lee Norman stated the guy was living in a retirement facility. He said the other residents are being evaluated and kept track of.
The governor said the state of emergency will permit more resources to be used to eliminate
