BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET)– Many people tell 17 news that they are being rejected a COVID-19 test regardless of revealing signs.
Dave Anderson’s 18- year-old child started feeling sick previously this week.
” On monday she came down with a fever, started coughing, had a headache,” said Anderson. “It wasn’t overwhelming, but she was definitely feeling ill.”
Classic COVID-19 symptoms he believed, so he took her into Kaiser to get evaluated.
“[I] pulled up, [they] asked a couple of questions and then when we got to the testing area they came out and stated we do not have enough tests, [they said] we’re holding the tests for physician and sent us on our way,” said Anderson.
Anderson and his daughter aren’t alone. 17 news has received numerous calls and messages from audiences who state they too have actually been denied a test.
