A UN report identified Khashoggi’s death a “intentional, premeditated execution”.
Khashoggi, a critic of the Saudi federal government, was killed inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey, in 2018.
Khashoggi had actually been composing for the Washington Post paper and living in the US prior to his death.
After using changing accounts of his disappearance, Saudi authorities ultimately confessed he was eliminated in a messed up operation by a team tasked with getting him to return to the country.
