Sexual abuse activist Tarana Burke says Harvey Weinstein being imprisoned this year was “astonishing” however far from the end of the Me Too movement.
Tarana began using the expression “Me Too” in 2006 to raise awareness of ladies who had been abused.

However the 46- year old says seeing what “celebrity goes to jail or not, is not sustainable as a motion”.
What Tarana sees as a victory for Me Too is assisting people not blame themselves for sexual violence devoted against them and lead fuller lives.
” What we need to be discussing is the everyday woman, guy, trans individual, child and handicapped person. All the people who are not rich, white and famous, who handle sexual violence on everyday basis.
” We need to discuss the systems that are still in location that allow that to take place.”
Tarana states it’s about taking apart the misuse of power and advantage which can also result in racism and sexism.
This is something, she thinks, current Black Lives Matter demonstrations have actually been dealing with.
