Minneapolis council members pledge to dissolve cops as demonstrations mount

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – A bulk of city council members in Minneapolis have promised to abolish the city’s cops department after the death of an unarmed black man in custody last month led to a few of the biggest demonstrations seen in the United States.

Council members stated such reforms would be a long, intricate process and supplied little detail en route forward.
