Apple’s upcoming iOS 14 is bringing more increased truth combination via apps such as Gobi that use dining and shopping interactions through brand-new circular QR codes. The Discover My app will also be updated with audio and haptic cues to make gadget retrieval even much easier.
Apple chose to transform this year’s WWDC event into an online-only stream, so there will allegedly be no behind-the-scenes sneak peeks for select media agents. This does not appear to be the case, as TechCrunch’s previous press reporter Josh Constine currently got hold of some insider information on upcoming iOS 14 features that build on what 9to5Mac reported back in March, revealing extra information on the Gobi AR app, plus new features for the Discover My application.
Constine first exposes the Gobi app icon, then reveals a new circular QR code format that utilizes colored cones of various sizes instead of dot matrices. One of the new QR codes is labeled “Cosmic”, however there still are regular QR codes that cause items like Mac Pro, Apple watch, the Star Wars: Rogue One movie in the
