MOSCOW (Reuters) – Moscow is raising its months-long coronavirus lockdown, mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on Monday, declaring that the pandemic was on the wane and it was possible to resume regular life throughout the course of June.

Sobyanin’s remarks came soon after Russia revealed a partial reopening of its borders, saying it would enable people who needed to work, study, get medical treatment or care for loved ones to take a trip abroad for the first time because late March.
