CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WCNC)– A North Carolina female hasn’t left her home in more than three weeks, yet still checked positive for COVID-19 late Thursday.
” I’m definitely horrified,” Rachel Brummert, who already has an autoimmune disorder, stated. “This is the sickest I’ve ever been and it’s the most scared I have actually ever been. From what I’m becoming aware of ventilators, it’s frightening things. I’m actually hoping I can wait this out in the house.”
At a greater risk for complications due to her hidden condition, Brummert said she listened to the health professionals. Besides a journey to the pharmacy more than 3 weeks back, she hasn’t left her home when.
” I actually believed I was doing everything right,” she said.
Brummert stated aside from the pharmacist and her other half, who grocery stores but is briefly residing in a different space, the just other person she’s come into contact with is a lady who offered to drop off groceries at her doorstep once. Brummert stated the lady later tested favorable for COVID-19
” I hardly had any contact,” she stated. “I didn’t even touch her.”
