Queensland Police have released new footage of a 67-year-old man taken before his suspicious death in Mackay two months ago, appealing to the public for more information.
John Patrick Hackett was found dead in his Gold St unit in Mackay at 7.18pm on Saturday, November 9, after his family, unable to reach him for several days, went to check on him.
A crime scene was declared, and police launched a homicide investigation about two weeks later, after a post-mortem examination revealed evidence of an assault.

Police believe Hackett was still alive on November 7 and may have been attacked on Melbourne Cup Day.
The retired agronomist had lived alone at the address for several years, police said.
Detective Inspector Emma Novosel said Hackett had facial injuries, and investigators suspect there may have been an altercation the day before his death.

Previously released CCTV footage captured him at a grocery store on Goldsmith St, about 150m from his home, on November 5.
Police are keen to speak with anyone who may have interacted with or spoken to John Patrick Hackett at the hotel or the grocery store.
