Scientists have established a low-cost swab test that can diagnose COVID-19 infection in about 45 minutes, an advance that might help public health authorities rushing to deal with screening stockpiles as the variety of cases continues to climb up.
The test called the “SARS-CoV-2 DETECTR” is easy to carry out and to translate, and needs no specialised equipment, stated researchers from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) in the US.
