Kingston, 9 May 2024 (PAHO) – The Director of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), Dr. Jarbas Barbosa, concluded a check out to Jamaica today marked by a series of engagements with senior federal government authorities and global partners. The PAHO Director likewise participated in the removal of mother-to-child transmission of HIV and syphilis (EMTCT) accreditation event for Jamaica, Belize, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines, along with the accreditation event of a baby-friendly medical facility.
