Twenty-nine boxes were pried open and damaged overnight Friday at the post office in Prescott, the Ontario Provincial Police reported Saturday.
In a post on the social-media platform X, the OPP described the incident as “mischief,” but added that investigators were looking to speak with anyone whose post-office box had been opened.
Those individuals were asked to make reports to the OPP’s non-emergency line at 1-888-310-1122 referencing incident E250070919.
Prescott is about 90 kilometres south of Ottawa.
