Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R-GA) line of concerns was “repellent and “homophobic.” Throughout the Wednesday House Oversight and Accountability Subcommittee on Select Coronavirus Crisis hearing, Greene asked, “Ms. Weingarten, are you a medical physician?” Weingarten stated, “I am not.” Greene stated, “Are you a mom?” Weingarten stated, “I am a mom by marital relationship.” Greene stated, “By marital relationship. I see. What I wish to speak about is your suggestions to the CDC as not a medical physician, not a biological mom, and truly not an instructor, either. None of your suggestions needed to do to stop the spread of COVID-19, it was everything about instructors staying at home, and there was huge outcomes of that. Let me inform you, I am a mom. All 3 of my kids were straight impacted by the school closures, by your suggestions, which is something that you truly can’t comprehend.
