SC to take a look at petitions on 3-capitals prior to using up hearing

Vijayawada: The Supreme Court has stated it wishes to take a look at the petitions submitted on the 3-capitals concern prior to hearing these and published their next hearing to Nov.14 A department bench of Justices KM Joseph and Justice Hrishikesh Roy held the hearing on the 3-capitals concern in New Delhi on Friday. AP federal government counsel advised the court to have immediate hearing on the petitions submitted by the farmers from Amaravati and the state federal government. The court asked what was the seriousness associated with the matter. Federal government counsel described to the court that a contempt of lawsuit was submitted versus the state federal government for its failure to carry out the AP High Court order to establish Amaravati as the sole capital city in a specified duration. Farmers’ counsel informed the court that while the AP HC released its order in March, the state federal government moved the pinnacle court months later on, in September. Farmers’ counsel Fali Nariman asked the court for a week’s time to submit an affidavit with all information of the case. Federal government counsel pleaded that the hearing be set up on Nov. 7.
