Sydney’s The Star casino has confirmed a patron who attended the venue this month has tested positive for coronavirus, amid concern about NSW’s growing number of infections.

In a statement, the casino’s operators said the patron attended the venue on July 4, between 7.30pm to 10.30pm.
Star Entertainment Group said the casino was cleaned daily, and had not been shut down.
It comes as health authorities in NSW confirmed 14 new coronavirus infections, including four new cases linked to a growing cluster at the Crossroads Hotel in Sydney’s south west.
One of the new infections is a man in his 20s who had dinner at the hotel on July 3, and the other three are close contacts of people who were at the hotel.
It means the total number of infections linked to the Crossroads Hotel cluster is 13.
