Tamannaah Bhatia has been cast in the upcoming biopic based on the life of legendary filmmaker V. Shantaram, titled V Shantaram, sources confirm. The actor joins Siddhant Chaturvedi, who has already been revealed to play the lead part, in the cast.
First look unveiled The first-look poster of the film featuring Chaturvedi has been unveiled today, and with Tamannaah Bhatia on board, the project, which will chronicle the pioneer’s life and groundbreaking contributions to cinema, is sure to be an exciting one.
An insider with knowledge of the production shared information about Bhatia’s role and involvement. The source told Bollywood Hungama, “Tamannaah Bhatia is on a high at present and has proved that she can essay varied kinds of roles. Just like Siddhant Chaturvedi, Tamannaah also essays a real-life character, and moreover, it’s a crucial role in the narrative. Tamannaah is excited, as the role is challenging, and viewers would get to see her in a new light.”
Abhijeet Deshpande set to direct Abhijeet Deshpande, a renowned filmmaker in Marathi and Hindi cinema, is slated to direct the film. The 2018 Marathi biopic Ani… Dr Kashinath Ghanekar was directed by him, who had worked on earlier projects, including Natsamrat (2016), a noteworthy Marathi film, and is among his writing credits. He has also contributed to Hindi films, including Table No. 21 (2013) and Wazir (2016), as well as the web series Breathe (2018).
