The Bollywood film The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond, which is directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh, sparked a huge row over its contentious claims, which faced strong opposition from various quarters. Now, the matter has reached the Kerala High Court, which has also taken an objection to the film, insisting that the portrayal of the state is wrong and also ordered for a screening of the controversial movie.

“Kerala lives in total harmony. But you have portrayed that this is happening all over Kerala. There is a wrong indication and can also incite passion,” Justice Bechu Kurian Thomas said, as per the report on Live Law.
While stating that he normally does not interfere in movies, the judge said, “You are saying that it is inspired by true events and name Kerala is given, which can create some communal tension.”
