In a letter to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) authorities, Schumer and Gillibrand also prompted federal officials to approve using automated screening, which they stated was amongst the actions essential to remain ahead of the requirements of New York’s population.

” We prompt you to deal with New york city on the 2 following concerns,” the senators wrote. “1) Making Sure that all New york city facilities that are capable and readily available to conduct COVID-19 screening are authorized to do so. 2) Supporting using automated testing in order to increase the speed and volume with which testing is carried out.

” Solving these 2 concerns will significantly increase New york city’s capability to tests [sic] clients,” they added, “and offer New York crucial brand-new tools to combat the COVID-19 epidemic.”
