Rescue efforts have been put on hold after two avalanches killed at least 38 people in eastern Turkey.
The majority of the dead were hit by an avalanche on Wednesday while attempting to recuperate the victims of another downslide which took place a day previously.
More rescue work continued however was paused since of issues about a possible 3rd avalanche.
The operation, involving more than 700 personnel, is expected to continue Thursday after evaluations.
Images from Wednesday showed dozens of people utilizing shovels and stays with dig people out from under the snow.
