Twitter Places ‘Glorifying Violence’ Warning On Donald Trump’s Tweet About George Floyd

Twitter applied a warning label early Friday on President Donald Trump‘s latest tweet about the death of George Floyd, which it stated broken guidelines versus glorifying violence.

Trump called individuals opposing the death of Floyd, who died in Minneapolis on Monday after a policeman knelt on his neck, ” CRIMINALS” and threatened to send out soldiers. “Any problem and we will presume control however, when the robbery starts, the shooting begins,” tweeted the president.

Demonstrations have erupted nationwide over Floyd’s death with demonstrators in Minneapolis setting structures on fire and warring with authorities.

Twitter’s label, listed below, said the platform had actually “figured out that it might be in the public’s interest for the Tweet to remain available.”
