The 16-year-olds then allegedly stole a wallet and keys to a Toyota Prado station wagon, before taking the car on a joyride.
Police allegedly spotted the stolen car about 10.05pm as it was stationery at the intersection of The Promenade and Main Street in Ellenbrook, about 30minutes north of Waterford.
A police officer opened the driver’s side door of the Toyota and advised the driver to get out.
But the teenager allegedly then accelerated heavily, dragging the officer along the road until the car stopped and the cop fell onto the ground.
Paramedics were called and gave the police officer first aid before he was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
