Two United Nations peacekeepers had been killed and five others severely wounded by an improvised explosive tool in northern Mali, the UN peacekeeping mission mentioned.
The incident took location between the village of Tessalit and the metropolis of Gao on Tuesday, Olivier Salgado, spokesman for United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA), mentioned in a tweet.
