The United States Supreme Court over the past numerous decades has gradually but steadily expanded its securities of gay rights.
From overruling a Texas law that criminalised “sodomy” to legalising gay marital relationship across the country, the instructions of US jurisprudence seemed clear.
That was before Justice Anthony Kennedy, the author of numerous of those landmark choices, retired and Donald Trump, with two visits, gave the court a decidedly more conservative bent.
