Humboldt County residents can now arrange a COVID-19 test at the brand-new OptumServe Testing site at Redwood Acres Fairgrounds in Eureka.
The State of California and the COVID-19 Checking Job Force have joined forces with OptumServe and Humboldt County to broaden testing services in underserved and undertested neighborhoods and for some of the state’s most vulnerable clients.
Individuals who are not presently ill or are slightly ill can go on the internet and schedule screening. Top priority is provided to those who are high threat because of their age (65 and older) or have persistent conditions, and for health care employees, initially responders and other social service workers. Individuals who work in congregate care settings like nursing homes, prisons and shelters are likewise a concern, as well as frontline workers in important services such as energy workers, grocery store staff, food supply employees and other em
