A woman with connections to a retreat in regional Victoria where another woman died after ingesting a suspected mushroom drink has been charged with drug trafficking.
Rachael Dixon, 53, went into cardiac arrest and died in April 2024 after ingesting the drink at Soul Barn in Clunes, near Ballarat.
Two other people who consumed the drink were also hospitalised.

On Friday police announced that during their investigation into Dixon’s death, they had allegedly found evidence a 53-year-old woman involved in the retreat was trafficking drugs.
As a result, the Mount Macedon woman was charged on summons on January 13 with trafficking a drug of dependence (psilocin).
Psilocin is found in magic mushrooms, a drug consumed for its hallucinogenic effects.
The woman will appear before Bacchus Marsh Magistrates Court on January 29.
An autopsy was conducted in relation to Dixon’s death however her cause of death was unable to be determined.
No charges have been laid in relation to Dixon’s death.
Soul Barn is a self-described “creative wellbeing centre” that specialises in holistic and alternative practices.
Speaking to 7NEWS last year, Dixon’s son and ex-husband claimed the drink Dixon had consumed had contained mushrooms.

Dixon’s son said his mother deteriorated quickly after drinking it.
The mother-of-one had visited Soul Barn several times before the incident.
Victoria Police say they are continuing to prepare a report for the coroner.
