The official website for the television anime adaptation of Tobirano’s Zutaboro Reijou wa Ane no Moto Konyakusha ni Dekiai sareru (Betrothed to my Sister’s Ex) light novel on Friday revealed additional cast, staff, theme songs, second key visual (pictured), and a second promotional video. The anime is scheduled to premiere on July 5 at 1:53 a.m. on MBS, TBS, and CBC, followed by BS-TBS.

Singer-songwriter krage (Ore dake Level Up na Ken) is performing the opening theme “Gesshoku” and Myuk (Yakusoku no Neverland 2nd Season) performs the ending theme “Marie.” Both theme songs are previewed in the promotional video below.
Takayuki Kitagawa (Tokyo 7th Sisters: Bokura wa Aozora ni Naru) helms the anime at LandQ Studio. Kenta Ihara (Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu) is handling the series composition and penned the script. Akiko Satou (Hananoi-kun to Koi no Yamai) is designing the characters and Kujira Yumemi (Tensei Kizoku, Kantei Skill de Nariagaru) is composing the music.
Tobirano began penning the fantasy romance story on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in October 2019. Futabasha acquired the novel and published the first volume under its M Novels F label in April 2020, featuring illustrations by Mai Murasaki (Akuyaku Reijou nanode Last Boss wo Kattemimashita). The eighth volume released on January 10.
Chikage Nakakura began drawing a manga adaptation on the Gaugau Monster website in July 2020. Futabasha shipped the eighth on December 25, with the ninth volume scheduled to go on sale on June 25.
Seven Seas Entertainment licensed both the light novel and manga in English on April 23. The manga’s first volume is scheduled to release on January 20, 2026.
