Southern meet to curb human trafficking held in partnership with US Consulate

Hyderabad: A two-day regional session on ‘Combating Human Trafficking’ concluded Saturday with the signing of a declaration by representatives of six southern states.

The session became once hosted by the Telangana authorities in partnership with the US authorities at Taj Deccan, where delegates of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Telangana signed the ‘Hyderabad Declaration’.


 


The 2-day tournament brought collectively 36 functionaries from across the six states, including ministers and representatives of departments concerned.

The tournament comprised panel discussions and presentations from senior police officials, members of the judiciary, survivor advocates, prosecutors and cybercrime consultants. Many survivors additionally shared their spot, emphasising delayed justice by the machine.
